REBECCA EVERLENE TRUST Co.
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo! The Rebecca Everlene Trust Company invites you on a journey to be a Fairy God Parent for a day and make prom special for a deserving teen by donating to Project Rebecca Everlene Dream (RED). We are the only prom assistance program in Chicago that includes a curriculum-based education component so unique, that we have the ability to provide high school participants with credit for community service hours.
Your donation will not only improve a student’s outward appearance, but also make them smile, stand tall, and exude confidence. On October 31, 2015, we will have our “Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo!” kick-off event for the program, and with your support, we can provide assistance for twenty-five teenagers, turning their hardship into Cinderella stories. Cash donations will be gladly accepted, in addition to any items that you believe will make the event a success.
Highlights for the afternoon include:
- Receiving a copy of the program text
- Meeting with a coach/consultant to shape business fundraising ideas (to help cover costs for any prom items that aren’t donated)
- Attending a seminar on business etiquette
- Setting a schedule to serve as an apprentice with someone in a specialized field of work that the student is interested in pursuing
In 2013, parents said that their high schoolers would be required to pay 44%of the cost of prom themselves, but in these tough economic times, it’s been difficult for many teens to land basic minimum wage jobs. Prom should be a special time of year for all students regardless of class, race, or gender. Not being able to produce such a large amount of money to cover these costs, could take a lot of the sparkle out of this glitzy event, and we believe that motivated, hardworking individuals don’t deserve to endure such an obstacle. Thank you in advance for responding to our invitation to make a difference and we look forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards,
